Dr. Pedro Guiilén is one of the most prestigious and accomplished trauma specialists in the world, showing outstanding skill in knee arthroscopy interventions for the treatment of meniscopathies and ligament injuries.

His competence in hip and knee replacement as well as osteosynthesis procedures is also enormous.  Additionally, cartilage implant is the latest technique in which Dr. Guillén is performing pioneering work and has become the most experienced Spanish surgeon in the treatment of cartilage lesions with this technique with over 555 cases. ICC is his new patented technique with which a high density cartilage implant is performed using a collagen membrane.

In 1977 he introduced arthroscopy in Spain which meant a revolution in the treatment and diagnosis of joint injuries and since then has performed over 40 thousand arthroscopies.  In 2007 he invented the third-generation arthroscopy: wireless Arthroscopy (WAD).

Both these technical advances – Cell cultures and the Wireless Arthroscopic Device – paved the way towards the first ever global Google Glass Master Class, an event which was streamed live to 76 universities and hospitals in all five continents.
