Pediatric Ophthalmology

The vision is developed in the early years, up to 10 years old or so, thus it is very important to perform periodic reviews to children, starting from 3 years old in order to prevent amblyopia (lazy eye) and to allow the early detection of alterations of the ocular refraction.

  • Early detection of myopia (nearsightedness/shortsightedness), hypermetropy (farsightedness), astigmatism, strabismus and amblyopia (lazy eye).
  • Lacrimal probing for the treatment of blocked tear duct.
